Heiko, imported from Romania, is bred by Catrinel Pauna of the Karpaten Irbis & Donau-Wirbeln Kennel. He is from the famous German bloodlines Vom Hege-Haus and Pöttmes.
Heiko is co-owned by Petro Byleveld, who is actively training and hunting with him. He is a powerful and strong dog with good movement, drive, and a love of water. He works very well in the field and has a keen nose. He is a late maturer.
He has been shown by Petro and achieved his breed Champion status with The Kennel Union of Southern Africa (KUSA). In June 2019, Heiko was named KUSA National GSP of the Year, handled by Amy Keifer.
